About the Role:
We are actively recruiting HGV Class 1 and Class 2 drivers to support our clients across Coventry on an adhoc basis, with the potential for ongoing work for reliable and professional drivers working Mon-Fri. This role is ideal for those seeking flexible hours, looking to supplement existing work, semi-retired drivers, or those interested in occasional nights out. Duties include multidrop and distance work. Work includes a variety of assignments such as general haulage, palletised deliveries, trunking, and store deliveries. You’ll be working with some of the region’s most respected transport and logistics companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Class 1 or Class 2 vehicles in a safe and compliant manner
- Complete deliveries and collections as scheduled
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle checks
- Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records
- Adhere to drivers’ hours and working time regulations
- Communicate professionally with clients and customers
Requirements:
- Valid UK HGV Licence (Class 1 C+E or Class 2 C)
- Full CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Ideally 6+ months of recent HGV driving experience
- No more than 6 penalty points (no DD, DR, or IN convictions)
- Flexibility for occasional nights out as required
- Good knowledge of UK road networks and regulations
- Strong work ethic and professional attitude
