Probate ExecutiveLeamington Spa/Hybrid workingWe are seeking a Probate Administrator/Executive to support the senior team with Tax and accounts services for estates and beneficiaries. The role will suit an ambitious professional, eager to develop their skills in the estate and probate sector. You will work on a number of client probate services, including inheritance tax, estate management, accounts and beneficiary statements.Key Duties:Drafting inheritance tax and probate application forms, and preparing inheritance tax calculations for manager and director reviewDrafting covering emails and letters explaining the forms and processes to clients and setting out the inheritance tax payments and arrangementsAssisting with the estate administration process, including preparing letters and forms to close accounts and sell sharesLiaising with HMRC, HMCTS and third parties as requiredAssisting with the preparation of trust and estate tax returns and beneficiary statements R185 for the administration period, and 60-day UK property CGT returnsLiaising with clients and third parties, and identifying and referring queries to partners, directors or managers.About you:Experience working as a Probate Executive for a law firm – Ideally 5 years+ experienceGood understanding of inheritance tax, computations and the probate process, and experience of using MyHMCTS for online probate applications.Excellent client care and client support skillsExcellent communication skills are essential alongside strong negotiation skillsAbility to work to deadlines, to prioritise and manage a varied caseloadAbility to work well as part of a team and on your own initiativeHigh standard of verbal and numerical reasoningAbility to analyse, evaluate and communicate information logicallyProfessional and effective communication with team members and contacts
