Wright Engineering is a respected leader in mechanical construction, delivering turnkey solutions across the power, aggregates, cement and wider industrial sectors. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Piping Construction Manager to join our mechanical projects division. This role is based from our Worksop HQ with regular work away on UK sites and requires someone committed, flexible and keen to build a long‑term career within a business that genuinely values its people and the quality of its work.

Benefits:

  • £23.44 basic hours
  • Time and half on Saturdays, double time on Sunday
  • Full time permanent role
  • Van with full use and fuel (alternative options can be a pick up or a vehicle with staff contribution for the difference in cost)
  • 25 holidays + stats
  • Pension

The Role:

The Piping Construction Manager will be responsible for leading the on‑site manufacture, installation and commissioning of industrial pipework systems. This includes welded, screwed, compression and various other piping forms. You must be able to confidently read and interpret technical drawings, isometrics, quality documentation and ITPs, and ensure all work meets the standards expected across Wright Engineering projects. The role requires strong practical and organisational skills, with responsibility for planning and controlling materials, labour, plant and equipment to achieve safe, efficient and high‑quality installations. Knowledge of welding processes, welding standards, testing regimes and pressure‑testing procedures is essential, as is the ability to prepare RAMS and support site safety management.

The ideal candidate:

A trade background (pipefitter, welder or mechanical fitter) is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, capable of coordinating with project managers, supervisors, fabrication teams and subcontractors to solve problems and drive progress. You will support continuous improvement across piping activities and ensure workmanship consistently meets Wright Engineering's high standards. Candidates with experience in pricing, take‑offs or tender assistance will also be at an advantage.

This position is based at our Worksop headquarters but involves regular travel and working away from home in accordance with project requirements. Our working‑away arrangements, allowances and site‑based expectations follow company policy. The role offers long‑term stability, a competitive package, and the opportunity to develop within a growing mechanical business. We are looking for someone with a stable career history who can integrate well into a team‑focused environment built on trust, quality and continuous improvement. If you are an experienced piping professional seeking a long‑term role with a business that values quality, teamwork and people, we would welcome your application.
