Established for over 30 years, Wright Engineering are looking to recruit enthusiastic and experienced Platers / Steel Erectors / Fitters / Pipe Fitters to join our team servicing sites across the UK. This is the perfect opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic person to thrive, working within a successful and vibrant team.

Overview

Working on sites across the UK on new-build, maintenance, and overhaul work. Wide variety of work ranging from power stations, waste recovery, building product manufacture and quarrying. Promotion opportunities available.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary starting at £18.47/hour + £15 per night working away allowance + £25 per day sustenance allowance
  • Standard overtime rate of £27.70/hour and £39.48/hour on Sundays
  • Comprehensive pension plan and additional benefits
  • 25 days holiday allowance plus statutory holidays

Schedule

Monday to Friday. Overtime. Weekend availability.

Skills Required

  • Experience of working on medium to heavy engineering
  • Reading engineering GAs and detailed drawings
  • Installing and maintaining a wide range of equipment such as conveyors, ash handling equipment
  • On site fabrication and modifications
  • Installation of new equipment and repairs to old
  • Working to the highest of safety standards
  • Plant operations such as MEWP, Loadall, Slinger banksman and PASMA would be beneficial but training can be given
  • NVQ training in the relevant trade
