We are seeking a skilled and dedicated groundworker / labourer to join our clients team. You will be responsible for performing various tasks related to concrete installation, maintenance, and repair, as well as other general maintenance and fit out related works.
The candidate will be required to work within a two-to-four-man gang. Day to day jobs will consist of a varied range of small- and large-scale construction projects within the maintenance sector of construction, largely taking place in and around industrial warehouses for corporate clients such as DHL, ALDI, NHS, and many others.
Although we are looking for a specialised groundworker, the scope of work that will be carried out will often change dependent on the specific project, meaning adaptability will be a frequent requirement and skills will need to be developed throughout the period of employment. A suitable candidate will have a versatile and positive mindset and is expected to learn on the job within the following areas: Groundworks/Joinery/Brickwork/Roofing.
In addition to building maintenance, our client specialises in large/medium and small-scale warehouse fit outs and groundworks projects meaning skills in these areas are favourable but not mandatory. Applicants should have a strong interest in the construction industry. Candidates will be expected to follow fast adapting instructions based on the client’s requirements. Once on-site, operatives will be required to liaise with customers around the specific job they are completing, ensuring professional conduct is always maintained even within pressured situations.
A driving license is mandatory. Working away will be a requirement of the role where needed but will by no means be a constant.
