We are currently recruiting for an assistant quarry manager to join our client who is an industry leader in manufacturing and distribution of aggregates, cement, readymix concrete and high-performance construction materials. About the role Reporting directly to the Quarry Manager, the Assistant Quarry Manager will assist in the safe running of a busy quarry. As Assistant Quarry Manager you will also be responsible for: Assist in leading, mentoring, and nurturing a highly skilled team to achieve daily production goals. Ensure that all activities within your purview adhere to current legislation and company policies. Identify and oversee continuous improvement initiatives. Proactively manage an effective maintenance program for quarry equipment, maximizing plant availability. Develop and uphold Standard Operating Procedures and conduct thorough risk assessments. Report and investigate any unsafe or hazardous working conditions. Address defects and implement corrective measures. Deliver safety briefings and toolbox talks to your operational team.
