A vacancy has arisen for a positive, enthusiastic and flexible person to undertake this rewarding post delivering essential library services to rural and isolated communities across Wrexham County Borough through the Pop Up and Homelink library service. The post holder will be required to organise and deliver direct customer service along with clerical and administrative work to community venues and individual homes across the county borough ensuring residents in isolated areas maintain access to reading materials and vital council resources.
The post holder will have library experience, be an avid reader and will be familiar with national reading trends. The post does involve periods of lifting boxes of books and using trolleys. The minimum educational requirement is 5 GCSE passes Grade C or above (or equivalent). A full clean driving licence is essential. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
The hours of work will be:
- Week 1: Thursday 8.00-4.30pm (7.75 hours), Friday 8.00-4.30pm (7.75 hours) - 23.25 hours per week
- Week 2: Monday 8.00-12.00pm (4 hours), Tuesday 8.00-4.30pm (7.75 hours) - 11.75 hours per week
- Week 3: Monday 8.00-2.45pm (6 hours), Thursday 8.00-4.30pm (7.75 hours), Friday 8.00-4.30pm (7.75 hours) - 29.25 hours per week
- Week 4: Tuesday 8.00-4.30pm (7.75 hours) - 7.75 hours per week
