Are you an experienced HR professional ready to influencestrategic decision making and help shape the future of public services? WrexhamCouncil is looking for a dynamic HR Business Partner to be locatedin our Housing and Assets department.

As an HR Business Partner you will work closely with the ChiefOfficer, and senior managers to deliver the Council’s PeopleStrategy and organisational priorities. You will act as a trusted advisor,providing expert guidance on all aspects of employment and workforcemanagement.

This role is a combination of strategic and operationalmanagement with a hands on role where you will:

  • Partner with seniorleadership teams to align people strategies with service objectives
  • Lead and supportorganisational change and transformation programmes
  • Provide expert advice oncomplex employment matters, policy and legislation
  • Build strongrelationships with trade unions and key stakeholders
  • Use workforce data todrive service improvement and performance
  • Lead on key coreHR&OD Strategy projects, policies and procedure creation, developmentand implementation

We are looking for a credible, highly knowledgeable andproactive HR leader who can influence at the highest levels and drivemeaningful change. You will have:

  • A degree levelqualification (or equivalent experience) and CIPD membership (orequivalent)
  • Extensive generalist HRexperience within a complex organisation
  • Excellent knowledge ofemployment law and best practice across the employee lifecycle
  • Experience of workingwith senior management teams and advising on people strategy
  • Proven ability to leadchange, influence stakeholders and manage complex situations
  • Extensive experience ofpartnership working with trade unions and managing employee relations

You will also:

  • Be confident in coachingand challenging senior leaders
  • Demonstrate excellentcommunication and analytical skills
