Overview
I am an 18 year old young man with autism. I am looking for a personal assistant to support me in accessing activities in the community and at home.
Interests
I like playing computer games, playing basketball in the community, going to gym, walking and running. I like writing and also write computer code. I equally enjoy maths. I like watching movies and listening to music. I am also willing to explore more in the community and improve my independent skills.
Advantage
It would be an advantage, if the PA could drive and have access to their own car with appropriate insurance.
Role details
Hours: 5 hours per week. Training and learning opportunities available. 5.6 weeks rota of AL per year. Good Hourly Rate – £13.26 per hour. Flexible shifts. 45p per mileage.
Employment and recruitment
Please note that you will be working directly for the Employer or the Employer who is supporting the Citizen to manage the Direct Payment. An Enhanced DBS check will be required for this role; if you have a transferable DBS check please make this known on your application form. Training will be tailored to the citizen’s needs. Please note the Employer will arrange this for you if the job is offered and accepted.
