Schools MIS Training and Support Officer – An exciting opportunity to assist schools using the Bromcom MIS system. The role involves providing training, support and guidance to schools within the MIS/IT Team.

MIS Training & Support Officer – Full-Time – Grade 07 – £31,537 – £33,143
Responsibilities
- Provide training, support and guidance to schools on using the Bromcom MIS system.
- Assist schools to manage and maintain the school\\\’s data systems, ensuring data accuracy, and support staff in their use of the MIS.
- Oversee Welsh Government censuses and provide guidance. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR) and LA policies. Knowledge of such policies would be advantageous.
- Work with wider teams (e.g., IT/Bromcom 3rd Line Support) to identify and resolve MIS-related issues.
- Keep up-to-date with latest developments and test prior to release.
- Provide training courses to all schools as part of the role. Some knowledge of Bromcom is desirable; full training and accreditation will be provided.
- Base location is Redwither Tower with flexible working options (some time at home, on site and in the workplace).
- Enhanced DBS & Social Council for Wales registration is required for this position.
Qualifications
- Experience with MIS systems and the ability to train and support staff; willingness to undertake training and accreditation.
- Understanding of data protection (GDPR) and LA policies is advantageous.
