Description
Wrexham County Borough Council is dedicated to serving and enhancing the local community by providing efficient and professional services. We are looking for an individual ideally with an interest or background in the creative industries or facilities management sectors. The Facility Coordinator will join the City Centre, Arts, Events & Culture team to help manage and maintain our various facilities, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and welcoming for all users. The successful candidate must believe in providing excellent customer services,
Primarily based at The Old Library, a newly refurbished site which is more than a building, it is a space where heritage meets creativity, and where history inspires innovation.
We aim to position The Old Library as a globally recognised space for innovation in digital, media, film, and technology, where every founder has access to the connections, community, and support they need to build high-growth creative businesses
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Corporate Events: Oversee the planning, setup, and delivery of corporate events, meetings, and networking activities. This includes liaising with event organizers, preparing venues, and ensuring events run smoothly
- As part of a team oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of council buildings and facilities across the City Centre.
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance requests, ensuring timely response and resolution.
- Liaise with contractors and service providers to ensure the delivery of essential services, such as cleaning, security, and general maintenance.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify any facility-related issues, including repairs and improvements.
- Respond to emergency situations and work with the relevant departments to resolve facility-related issues.
- Working evenings and weekends as required.
