Overview
Building Control Technical Manager role at Wrexham County Borough Council. Full time permanent – Internal Only.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, qualified, experienced Class 3 Registered Building Inspector with specialist knowledge of all Building Control legislation including relevant fire safety knowledge to join our well-established professional team. You will be a self-motivated individual who can demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, working to tight deadlines with good negotiation skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage building control and fire safety services, including specialist duties and management of a building control, fire safety & structural consultancy service.
- Liaise with Council members, members of the public, architects, agents and developers during the design and construction processes.
- Ensure high professional competence across a wide range of building control areas and maintain up-to-date knowledge of Building Control legislation.
- Work in a flexible manner with office and agile home working; possess strong organisational and administrative skills and computer literacy.
Qualifications
- Class 3 Registered Building Inspector with specialist knowledge of Building Control legislation and fire safety.
- Registered Class 3 with the Building Safety Regulator to undertake full range of specialist duties and management responsibilities.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills; ability to work to tight deadlines.
