We are recruiting for an SEO Manager to join our growing Digital Marketing team based at our head office in Barton-upon-Humber. This role will lead Wren’s organic search strategy across kitchens, bedrooms and wider brand propositions. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving visibility, authority and performance across traditional search, while also shaping Wren’s approach to AI-led search and Generative Engine Optimisation. We offer a flexible hybrid working approach, with 2 days per week spent at our Head Office in Barton-upon-Humber and 3 days working remotely from home.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead SEO strategy across kitchens, bedrooms and wider organic search activity.
- Improve Wren’s visibility across traditional search and AI-generated search results, including Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini.
- Identify where Wren is missing, underrepresented or inaccurately described across search results, AI answers and key third-party sources.
- Map gaps in content, backlinks, brand mentions, source coverage and customer sentiment across platforms such as Reddit, YouTube, forums, review sites and publisher content.
- Develop clear plans to improve visibility, correct inaccurate or negative brand perception, and increase Wren’s authority across the sources search engines and AI platforms rely on.
- Own the optimisation of technical SEO, content, structured data, internal linking, digital PR and off-site authority.
- Analyse SEO performance, explain what is driving change and turn insight into clear actions.
- Produce monthly reports and present results, risks, opportunities and recommendations to senior management.
- Work with PR and SEO agency partners to improve backlinks, brand authority, coverage quality and sentiment across key topics.
- Use SEO, analytics and AI tools to improve research, reporting, briefing and content workflows.
About You
- Strong SEO experience across technical, content, off-site and digital PR.
- Good understanding of AI search, LLMs, structured data and GEO.
- Confident using SEO tools including SEMrush or Arefs, Screaming Frog, GSC, GA4 and Looker Studio.
- Comfortable using AI tools to improve research, analysis, reporting and workflow efficiency.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn data into clear recommendations.
- Strategic thinker with strong project management and delivery skills.
- Clear communicator, confident presenting complex topics simply.
