We’re looking for a skilled Senior PHP Developer with strong backend experience in Symfony and third-party integrations to join our team. You’ll work closely with the Lead Developer and collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality, testable code that drives our projects forward. This is a Hybrid role based at Barton-upon-Humber, with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read, understand, and deliver on development tickets.
  • Contribute to backlog refinement, technical refinement, and sprint planning.
  • Write modular, test-driven code with a focus on quality and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with testing and staging teams to ensure smooth releases.
  • Take ownership of your work throughout the full development lifecycle.

About You - Desired Skills and Knowledge:

  • 5+ years’ experience with Object-Oriented PHP
  • Experience with modern frameworks (Symfony or Laravel)
  • Proficiency with Composer, Git, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of React or other frontend frameworks, Web Components, TypeScript, LESS/SASS
  • Experience with PHPUnit, PlayWright, Jenkins, Docker, and PHPStan
  • Experience with PHP 8 and MySQL is preferred
