We are recruiting for a Health and Safety Supervisor to work at our manufacturing facility in Barton. The candidate will work 5 days per week Monday-Friday. The salary for this position is £37,500 plus Quarterly Bonus up to £1000.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide managers and employees with information on legislative compliance, advising on ways of meeting statutory requirements and in-house HS&E Policies & Practices as directed by the Site HSE Manager.
- Provide mentorship and stability to the HSE department.
- Ensure that persons under their control are competent and understand the contribution they can make to the department.
- Ensure that risk assessments/safe systems of work requirements are met.
- Provide H&S management reports to agreed deadlines.
- Proactively work with other areas of the business to develop SHE culture.
- Ensure operational activities on site are carried out safely and legally.
- Conduct annual appraisals.
- KPI reporting.
About You
Desired Skills & Knowledge:
- Proven track record of delivering and maintaining Health, Safety & Environmental Management Systems.
- Ability to develop and adapt strategies to encourage performance.
- Experience leading accident investigation.
- NEBOSH General Certificate (Required).
- Knowledge of ISO is desired enabling the candidate to undertake management system tasks in line with the requirements of ISO.
- Knowledge of Environmental A2 Permitting.
- Solvent Management Plan knowledge.
