Head of Quality in Grimsby

Head of Quality (Barton-upon-Humber)

We are recruiting for a Head of Quality to join our manufacturing leadership team based at our head office site in Barton-upon-Humber. This role requires regular travel across our five UK manufacturing sites and occasional international travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Quality Department to ensure all products meet company and customer expectations.
• Lead the Quality function across all manufacturing sites, ensuring products meet company, regulatory, and customer standards.
• Oversee and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS), driving compliance with ISO standards and business requirements.
• Monitor quality performance across all sites, identify trends, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Work collaboratively with Production, Engineering, and Buying teams to drive right-first-time manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide visible leadership across all manufacturing sites, supporting teams through site visits, training, audits, and performance reviews.
• Undertake regular travel across our five UK manufacturing sites and occasional international trips to visit suppliers, attend industry expos, and explore emerging technologies and best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven experience in a senior quality role within manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of ISO 9001, compliance, and auditing standards.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel between sites and international trips.

Additional Information

Full time, permanent role. Must have a full UK driving licence. Travel as required. This role is part of our headquarters\’ leadership and requires a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
