Hours of Work: 30 hours per week available, covering a 7 day rota; Hours: 07:00am to 15:00pm

This is a great opportunity for you to prepare nutritious, delicious meals for our ShireLiving residents putting a smile on their faces. Our ShireLiving or supported housing facilities provide people over 55 years old a safe, secure, and caring environment. This is a fantastic opportunity where you will become a key part of the team to deliver catering services to our residents. Our scheme in Maywood has 52 apartments that may be single or double occupied.

What you will be doing:

  • Preparing quality food
  • Managing kitchen operations
  • Tracking inventory
  • Ordering supplies
  • Cleaning and organising the food preparation area
  • Training new kitchen employees on standards and regulations
  • Have a friendly approach towards visitors and residents
  • Monitoring the kitchen area to ensure sanitation standards are maintained

About you: You will be someone who has the ability to create great food, that is well presented, full of flavour, balanced and nutritional. You will have experience of ordering supplies and carrying out stock takes. You will be someone who would embrace processes and procedures along with adding in a good measure of your creativity. You will be open to new ideas and thinking out of the box.
