This is a fantastic opportunity to build your finance career within a supportive team, where you’ll play a key role as a Finance Assistant in ensuring our financial processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

  • Processing purchase invoices through our finance system and preparing payments in line with financial deadlines and best practice.
  • Supporting the wider Finance team by gathering and providing information from finance systems for audits, budgets and period-end processes.
  • Assisting with general finance administration and helping to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Building positive relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers to provide excellent customer service and resolve queries efficiently.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a Finance Assistant who is organised, accurate and motivated, with a passion for delivering high-quality work.

Essential criteria

  • 5 GCSEs at Grade A*-C / Grade 4 or above (or Functional Skills Level 2 equivalent), including Maths and English.
  • Experience working in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience using purchase ledger systems.
  • Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Good IT skills, including strong working knowledge of Excel, particularly pivot tables and lookups.
  • A commitment to delivering excellent customer service and resolving issues effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
  • A self-motivated, flexible and enthusiastic approach, with a focus on delivering results.
