Location: Telford – Hours: 36 hours per week – Salary: £10.58 per hour – Contract Type: Apprenticeship, 2 year fixed-term contract

Responsibilities
  • Financial Services – assisting with month-end processes, internal and external audit processes and performing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Customer Experience Finance – assisting in monitoring and reporting on budgets for housing management and repair services, and analysing expenditure related to responsive and planned maintenance.
  • Care and Support Finance – assisting in budget monitoring, cost allocation and income monitoring, and financial reporting relating to contracts and NHS/Local Authority funding streams.
  • Rents and Service Charges – assisting with service charge calculations and maintenance of customer accounts, and analysing rent and service charge income data.
  • Develop technical accounting knowledge, commercial awareness, and an understanding of how finance supports operational service delivery within the housing sector.
Qualifications
  • GCSEs Grade 4 and above in English and Maths or the equivalent.
  • Basic Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) skills.
  • Ability to compose simple emails and documents.
  • Clear communication skills (phone, email, Teams, and face-to-face).
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Willingness to learn about the organisation and its services.
  • Interest in Social Housing.
