The role:

Are you passionate about showcasing your cooking skills? We are looking for an Assistant Chef to prepare nutritious, delicious meals for our ShireLiving residents putting a smile on their faces. Our ShireLiving or supported housing facilities provide people over 55 years old a safe, secure, and caring environment. This is a fantastic opportunity where you will become a key part of the team to deliver catering services to our residents. Our scheme in Whitchurch, Shropshire has 70 apartments that may be single or double occupied.

What you will be doing:

• As our Assistant Chef, you'll support the delivery of an excellent catering service by:Preparing high-quality, nutritious meals for residentsSupporting the day-to-day management of kitchen operationsMonitoring stock levels and carrying out inventory checksOrdering food and kitchen suppliesMaintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environmentSupporting the induction and training of new kitchen team membersBuilding positive relationships with residents and visitorsEnsuring food hygiene, health and safety, and sanitation standards are consistently maintained
