WRc are actively recruiting for a Technical Coordinator to join the team, to help deliver and drive awareness of WRc Approved - (Water Industry - Engineering & Standards). This is a full time (37 hrs pw), hybrid role based at our office in Swindon. You will be required to come into the office on an adhoc basis, generally at least once a fortnight. You must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel. The role will involve travel across the UK and Internationally.
Responsibilities
- Drive approvals through the internal processes, obtaining all relevant data from the suppliers to reduce the approval process time for the client.
- Act as a generalist to help support the technical specialist in creating proposals for clients and ultimately an approval.
- Speak with Water Companies and product suppliers to widen the knowledge and awareness of WRc Approved and the benefits this brings.
- Maintain a user focus to design solutions that meet user needs and take into account agreed standards.
- Coordinate and assist in the delivery of witness testing, manufacture and installation audits both nationally and internationally.
- Attend conferences and exhibitions and promote WRc Approved to new and existing clients, both nationally and internationally.
Person Specification
- Motivated to be proactive and drive approvals forward.
- Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Background in mechanical engineering, civil engineering or design engineering is preferable.
- A background in the water industry, manufacturing or engineering would be beneficial.
- Educated to degree level in a science or engineering role is preferable.
- CAD and other software packages use is highly desirable.
