This is a full time role (37 hours per week), working on a hybrid basis from our main office in Swindon .
The role provides technical leadership and responsibility for wastewater engineering consultancy and services within WRc.
You will bring ideas, knowledge and experience to promote and develop solutions and services relating to wastewater functions and be highly capable of engaging with clients, successfully winning work and in ensuring delivery that meets client requirements.
Key Responsibilities Business Development Demonstrate commercial awareness and ability to successfully win projects.
Recognise and exploit business opportunities to support future growth of the business.
Provide assistance in developing strategy and tactical plans to align with wider WRc business strategy and growth aims.
Provide thought leadership in the industry, both UK and for international clients and communities.
Delivery Deliver projects to high standards, within budgets and time, and with positive client feedback.
Provide technical leadership and domain knowledge within WRc, leading and contributing to a creative and compassionate community to deliver high calibre outputs.
Professional Development Be personally committed to the continued professional development of your own profile.
Actively own and complete the performance coaching process and agree areas for personal development with your performance coach to identify ways you can proactively learn new skills.
Continuously develop personal and team knowledge and look for innovative approaches.
Person Specification You will have significant experience in relation to the management of wastewater infrastructure, and the associated challenges such as flooding and environmental impacts from pollution.
Educated to degree level or above, in an engineering or scientific discipline.
Evidence of a growth mindset and an inquisitive and logical approach to problem solving.
Strong technical skills background including wastewater network management.
Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills, and an ability to adapt communication style to effectively communicate complex message to different audiences.
Excellent technical report and proposal writing.
