Summary
WR has an opportunity for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to design and develop ruggedized mechanical and electromechanical systems supporting critical naval operations.
What You’ll Do
- Document and design mechanical and electromechanical components and systems.
- Develop drawing packages (Level-3 Drawings, block diagrams, Bills of Materials [BOM], manufacturing, assembly, modeling, renderings and installation) using Autodesk Inventor 3D.
- Independently analyze specifications and performance requirements to ensure designs can be produced by existing manufacturing methods.
- Determine feasibility of designing new components or modifying existing components considering costs, available space, time limitations, planning, and other technical and economic factors.
- Independently research and analyze data such as customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
- Use extensive experience in creating technical drawings and documentation packages.

Must have qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Six (6)+ years of full-time professional experience in Mechanical Systems to include: Systems/Equipment design and Test and Evaluation support.
- Three (3)+ years of technical experience in design and development of DoD systems.
- Experience working with CAD software (AutoCAD and Inventor preferred) with extensive knowledge of 3D modeling and creating Bills of Material (BOM).
