Location: Norfolk, VA

SUMMARY: WR has an opportunity for two (2) Material Handlers to support physical inventory and material accountability activities for Government material. Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Conduct physical inventory counts of Government material in accordance with contract requirements and internal procedures.
  • Verify asset information, quantities, and locations.
  • Perform barcode scanning and data entry transactions within the Inventory Data System (IDS).
  • Research and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and supporting documentation.
  • Follow established safety, security, and material handling procedures.
  • Communicate inventory status to supervisors and applicable personnel in a timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouses, stockrooms, and inventory areas.

Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of experience with Microsoft Word.
  • Zero (0)+ years of experience in warehousing, material handling, and shipping and receiving responsibilities.
  • Able to perform transactions within an Inventory Data System (IDS).

The selected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment third-party background check which may include verification of any of the following: Employment history; Education and/or certifications; Criminal history; Driving Records; Other records or information related to the candidate’s suitability for the position.
