SUMMARY: WR has an opportunity for a Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) Programmer to perform non-routine and complex technical assignments involving the planning and execution of a complete project of relatively limited scope or a portion of a larger, more complex project. The FPGA Programmer will select and adapt plans, techniques, designs, and layouts; collaborate with personnel across related technical activities to resolve problems and coordinate work; and review, analyze, and integrate the technical work of others.
Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Designs, develops, and constructs major units, devices, or equipment; conducts tests and experiments; analyzes results; and redesigns or modifies equipment to improve performance.
- Develops designs for equipment involving complex or difficult-to-satisfy performance requirements.
- Analyzes technical data to determine applicability to design problems; evaluates possible design layouts; calculates design data; and prepares layouts, detailed specifications, parts lists, estimates, procedures, and related technical documentation.
- Plans or assists in planning tests to evaluate equipment performance.
- Supports troubleshooting, testing, integration, and evaluation of hardware and associated systems.
- Collaborates with engineering and technical personnel to resolve design, integration, and performance issues.
Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Eight (8)+ years of full-time professional, hands-on experience in the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and/or testing of major systems.
The selected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment third-party background check which may include verification of any of the following: Employment history; Education and/or certifications; Criminal history; Driving Records; Other records or information related to the candidate’s suitability for the position.
Position Salary Range: $88,000 - $129,000. The listed salary range represents the typical range for this position. WR bases the offered salary on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, knowledge, and skills, scope and responsibilities of the position, and market and business considerations.
