We’re looking for motivated individuals wanting to start their professional career as a trainee Chartered Accountant studying towards the ICAEW ACA qualification within our Audit team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for graduates with a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field to develop their skills and knowledge in auditing.
We offer a comprehensive training package which combines on the job training with a Level 7 Apprenticeship at Kaplan. Students are exam qualified within 2.5 years with all training records and experience days completed within 3 years. You will attend regular lectures, sitting 15 exams over the duration and are rewarded at each milestone.
Over the course of the 3 years you are exposed to interesting work, from large corporates to not-for-profit, with client contact from week one. Getting out on site at client premises enables you to build strong relationships and gain valuable experience as well as applying knowledge gained as you progress technically. Under the guidance of experienced auditors, you will participate in audit engagements, assess financial statements, identify risks, and provide recommendations to improve internal controls and processes.
Ideal candidate:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field - 2.1 or above
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Own transport and willing to travel to client sites to conduct fieldwork
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Self motivated and a drive for success
