We're currently looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our growing team in Newtown. This is a full-time position, although part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate. The role would suit someone with previous accountancy practice experience or someone with strong bookkeeping and year-end compliance experience looking to further develop their career.

What you'll be doing:

  • Preparing financial statements for a range of clients
  • Preparing tax computations
  • Verifying and reviewing client records
  • Producing client approval and signing packs
  • Submitting financial statements and statutory tax returns
  • Supporting clients with their compliance requirement

About you:

  • Has at least 12 months' experience within an accountancy practice
  • Has good IT skills and is comfortable learning new systems
  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Has strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Is self-motivated and organised
  • Can manage deadlines and prioritise workload effectively
  • Is keen to learn and develop professionally
  • Enjoys working both independently and as part of a team
