Position: Transport Planner Location: Bromborough Hours: Monday to Friday Our client is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join their reputable team in Bromborough. This role will suit an experienced Transport Planner with proven experience in HGV General Haulage, with a customer-centric attitude. The ideal candidate will be able to plan, direct and control the activities of the transport fleet including sub-contractors. The Transport Planner must provide a high-quality service to both internal and external customers as they will be based on-site at a customer's premises. Your key responsibilities as a Transport Planner: Routing and scheduling vehicles to optimise fleet utilisation Proven knowledge of geographical routes and driver regulations in the UK Dispatching and debriefing drivers Actively seek to understand customer operational requirements and identify any service or delivery concerns or failures Ensure that we are fully compliant with both driver and vehicle statutory and legislative requirements Develop a network of national transport services to ensure services are delivered cost-effectively Work with all other transport teams throughout the Company to support their work requirements as needed and maximise internal revenue wherever possible Constantly review tariffs to ensure that we are both competitive and sensitive to market conditions Hands-on coordination of emergency response and resolution of road incidents Liaising with …
