An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Transport Driver Manager to join a successful and growing transport operation based in Tamworth. Reporting into senior management, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of a fleet and 70 drivers, ensuring operational efficiency, driver engagement, and full compliance with transport legislation and O Licence requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop a team of professional drivers.
- Ensure compliance with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive, and O Licence regulations.
- Act as a named CPC holder supporting the transport operation.
- Drive performance through effective driver management, coaching, and communication.
- Monitor KPIs, service levels, and operational standards.
- Promote a strong safety and compliance culture across the fleet.
About You
- Previous experience in a Transport Manager, Driver Manager, or similar transport leadership role.
- Valid Transport Manager CPC qualification.
- Strong knowledge of transport compliance and driver legislation.
- Excellent people management and communication skills.
- Background from any transport sector considered; general haulage experience advantageous.
