About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Air Export Coordinator to join their busy freight forwarding team based in Ashford, Surrey. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with air export experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and delivering outstanding customer service.
You will be responsible for managing air export shipments from booking through to final departure, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and shipments move in accordance with customer requirements and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate air export shipments from booking through to departure.
- Liaise with airlines, handling agents, hauliers, overseas offices and customers.
- Arrange collections and monitor shipments to ensure deadlines are met.
- Prepare and process all export documentation, including Air Waybills (AWBs), customs documentation and commercial paperwork.
- Ensure all customs requirements are completed accurately and within required timescales.
- Obtain freight rates and provide quotations to customers when required.
- Track shipments and proactively communicate updates to customers.
- Resolve shipment delays or operational issues efficiently.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and update internal freight forwarding systems.
