Ocean Import Coordinator in Sale

Position:Ocean Import Operator Location: Sale, Manchester Salary: Up to £36,000 DOE Full Time | Permanent Mon to Fri Office-Based Role Are you an experienced Ocean Import Operator looking for a fresh challenge with a market-leading logistics organisation? We're recruiting on behalf of a highly respected global freight forwarder that forms part of one of the world's largest integrated logistics and supply chain groups. With a significant international presence, continued investment, and ambitious growth plans, this business offers excellent long-term career prospects and exposure to major import operations. Due to continued expansion, they are looking to appoint an experienced Ocean Import Operator to join their team in Sale, Manchester. The Role You'll be responsible for managing ocean import shipments from origin through to final delivery, ensuring a first-class service is provided to customers while maintaining operational efficiency and compliance. Key Responsibilities * Managing FCL and LCL ocean import shipments from start to finish * Liaising with overseas agents, carriers, hauliers, and customers * Arranging customs clearance and ensuring accurate documentation * Monitoring shipment progress and resolving operational issues * Coordinating deliveries and communicating shipment updates * Processing supplier invoices and customer billing * Maintaining compliance with industry regulations and company procedures * Building strong relationships with customers and service providers What We're Looking For Minimum 3 years' experience in Ocean Imports within a freight forwarding environment Strong understanding of ocean import processes and documentation Experience handling shipments from booking through to final delivery Knowledge of customs procedures and import compliance Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work effectively in a busy operational environmentWhat's on Offer? * Salary up to £36,000 * Opportunity to join a globally recognised logistics organisation * Secure and stable business with significant market presence * Genuine opportunities for career progression and development * Supportive and experienced operations team * Exposure to a varied portfolio of import customers * Modern office environment in Sale, Manchester WR Logistics are a leading recruitment partner for the logistics and supply chain industry, recruiting across the UK, Europe, and the USA for permanent opportunities.
