Location: Wythenshawe

Hours: Mon – Fri, 9:00 – 17:30 (Flexible start and finish times)

Hybrid working: 2 days from home, 3 office-based

Salary: Up to £34,000 (Negotiable)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end road freight operations for a portfolio of clients
• Act as the primary contact for customer accounts, ensuring service excellence
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication
• Negotiate rates with hauliers and suppliers to deliver cost-effective solutions
• Provide quotations and track market trends to remain competitive
• Coordinate collections and deliveries across the UK and Europe
• Monitor and resolve operational issues, ensuring on-time performance
• Prepare and manage all necessary documentation for shipments
• Collaborate with internal teams to support account growth and retention
• Support the sales team during client visits and account reviews

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in road freight forwarding/operations
• Strong commercial awareness and customer service skills
• Confident in managing accounts and building long-term relationships
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask
• A proactive problem-solver who can stay calm under pressure
