Due to continued global business growth, we are seeking a Trade Compliance Co-Ordinator to join our client's team at their Heathrow office. This role is responsible for coordinating Trade Compliance, CITES, and Customs activities on behalf of our client, ensuring all regulatory and operational requirements are met.
Working Hours (Onsite): Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:30 (one-hour unpaid lunch break)
Salary: £28,500 per annum (depending on experience)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Complete our client's product libraries and ensure all Trade Compliance reports and KPIs are accurate and submitted on time.
- Determine correct tariff classifications and provide UK-specific import guidance for EU stock movements.
- Complete Import, Export, Transit, ICS, and ENS declarations in line with UK & EU regulations.
- Audit and monitor customs entries to ensure legislative compliance and support KPI requirements.
- Manage CITES applications, permits, notifications, trackers, and related documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Liaise with HMRC and third parties to maintain compliant customs procedures.
- Maintain accurate trackers, records, archiving, billing, and invoicing within required timeframes.
- Ensure all documentation is uploaded and maintained on the client's SharePoint system.
- Support the Customs Manager and internal projects requiring Trade Compliance expertise.
- Implement workflow efficiencies and maintain up-to-date SOPs/IOPs.
- Maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships and provide cover when required.
Skills & Experience:
- 3-5 years' experience in customs/trade compliance within a large organisation or brokerage.
- Strong knowledge of UK & EU customs regulations, tariff classification, valuation, Incoterms, and preference.
- Experience with import/export control documentation, including CITES (desirable).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional weekends.
