We are seeking an experienced Multi-Modal Freight Forwarder to join a well-established freight forwarding business based in the Portsmouth area. This is an excellent opportunity for a freight professional with experience across air, sea, and road freight who enjoys managing shipments from start to finish and delivering exceptional customer service.
The successful candidate will take full ownership of shipments throughout the entire forwarding process, working closely with customers, carriers, and customs authorities to ensure smooth and efficient transportation.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage import and export shipments across air, sea, and road freight.
- Handle the complete freight forwarding process from quotation through to final delivery.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation including Air Waybills, Bills of Lading, and customs entries.
- Arrange collections, bookings, and freight labelling.
- Monitor shipments proactively and provide updates to customers.
- Liaise with carriers, shipping lines, airlines, customs authorities, and clients.
- Track deliveries and obtain Proofs of Delivery (PODs).
- Resolve operational issues and ensure customer expectations are met.
- Prepare and issue invoices upon completion of shipments.
- Ensure compliance with customs and freight forwarding regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Freight Forwarder handling air, sea, and road freight.
- Strong customs entry knowledge and experience.
- Ability to manage shipments independently from start to finish.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Experience preparing freight forwarding documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Location
Candidates should ideally be based within a reasonable commute of Portsmouth. Applications from individuals located in nearby areas of Hampshire will also be considered.
