The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the exportation of Less than Container Loads (LCL) and Full Container Loads (FCL) shipments via sea freight. You must have a background in sea freight operations with a UK forwarder.
Your key responsibilities as Ocean Export Operator:
- Complete start-to-finish export consignments via sea freight
- Responsible for the day to day running of allocated LCL movements
- Exports between UK and USA
- Create bookings from the origin
- Provide freight rates, quotes and pricing solutions for customers
- Track and update shipment statuses in the company's system and provide regular updates to clients
- Complete customs procedures
- Ensure compliance with export regulations
- Developing good working relationships with shipping lines, overseas agents, hauliers and our other branches
Previous experience in quoting and operations of export ocean freight forwarding is essential.
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years experience with a UK-based freight forwarder
- Have the ability to work 12:00-8pm, 1-2 days per week for US time zone scope
