Are you an experienced Transport Planner with container transport experience? Containerised Transport experience ESSENTIAL.
We are looking for a proactive and organised individual to join a busy, fast-paced transport operation where no two nights are the same.
The Role
- You’ll be responsible for coordinating drivers, managing customer deliveries, liaising with ports, and ensuring transport operations run smoothly and efficiently throughout the night shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate container transport movements.
- Monitor driver progress and manage ETAs.
- Liaise with ports, customers, and drivers to ensure service levels are maintained.
- Book delivery and collection slots.
- Update transport systems and maintain accurate records.
- React quickly to operational challenges and adjust plans as required.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Transport Planner or Transport Operator.
- Essential container transport experience.
- Strong knowledge of UK road networks and transport operations.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using transport management systems (TOPS desirable).
