About the Role
Our client is seeking a Fine Art Technician / Driver to join their specialist logistics team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience handling valuable or fragile items who enjoys working in a hands-on role, delivering exceptional service to clients across London and the UK.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe handling, packing, transportation and installation of fine art, antiques and high-value items. A Class 2 (Category C) licence is preferred; however, applicants with experience driving smaller commercial vehicles are encouraged to apply, with the opportunity to gain their HGV licence in the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely collect, transport and deliver fine art, antiques and high-value items.
- Load and unload vehicles using appropriate handling techniques and equipment.
- Pack, wrap and protect artwork to museum and gallery standards.
- Assist with installations, removals and positioning of artwork at customer sites.
- Carry out condition checks before collection and upon delivery.
- Complete all transport documentation accurately.
- Ensure vehicles are maintained in a clean and roadworthy condition.
- Provide exceptional customer service while representing the business professionally.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.
- Follow all health and safety procedures when handling valuable objects.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within Fine Art Logistics, Removals, Specialist Transport or White Glove Delivery is advantageous.
- Experience handling fragile, valuable or high-value items.
- Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence is preferred.
- Candidates with experience driving 3.5t or 7.5t vehicles will also be considered.
- A clean UK driving licence.
- Excellent attention to detail and care when handling artwork.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
