Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced LCL Import Operator to join their team and take responsibility for the day‑to‑day management of allocated import trades.
The Role
As an LCL Import Operator, you will be responsible for managing the complete import process from pre‑alert through to final delivery.
You'll ensure shipments are handled efficiently, customers receive excellent service, and operational performance and profitability are maintained.
Working closely with customers, suppliers, hauliers, warehouses, and internal departments, you'll play a key role in ensuring smooth shipment execution while identifying opportunities to improve service levels and maximise profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day‑to‑day operations of allocated LCL import trades.
- Accurately process shipments into internal systems in line with pre‑alert documentation.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers to obtain missing information when required.
- Review and maintain accurate cost estimates and shipment files.
- Coordinate manifests with warehouses ahead of container devanning.
- Manage release instructions with shipping lines.
About You
- Previous experience within LCL import operations.
- Strong understanding of the freight forwarding and logistics industry.
- Experience managing shipments from origin through to final delivery.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- The ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
