I’m currently recruiting on behalf of a highly respected freight forwarding company based in the Wakefield area, who are looking to add an experienced Multi‑Modal Freight Operator to their operations team. The Role
As a Multi‑Modal Freight Operator, you’ll be responsible for overseeing shipments throughout the entire transport cycle, ensuring customers receive a high‑quality and efficient service. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing import and export shipments from booking through to final delivery.
- Coordinating sea, air, and road freight movements.
- Liaising with overseas agents, hauliers, shipping lines, airlines, and customers.
- Preparing and checking shipping and customs documentation.
- Arranging collections, deliveries, and customs clearances.
- Providing proactive shipment updates and resolving any operational issues.
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Ensuring all shipments are handled compliantly and cost‑effectively.
