Our client is seeking an experienced Project Cargo Manager to lead and develop project cargo operations across a defined European region. The successful candidate will be responsible for operational delivery, business development, customer engagement, vendor management, and the continued growth of project cargo capabilities across multiple transport modes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day project cargo operations and project execution.
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the project cargo sector.
- Take ownership of project cargo enquiries and ensure timely responses to customers and overseas partners.
- Coordinate and manage RFQs, quotations, and service provider engagement.
- Oversee loading, discharge, transportation, and storage activities for project cargo shipments.
- Ensure accurate shipment tracking, reporting, and documentation management.

Requirements

- At least 5 years’ experience handling over-dimensional, heavy-lift, and complex cargo movements across road, rail, barge, air, ocean, and storage operations.
- Strong understanding of air charter solutions and contract management.
- Established network within the project cargo and heavy-lift industry.
- Proven commercial awareness and business development capability.
- Strong knowledge of permits, import/export regulations, customs processes, surveys, and governmental compliance requirements.
- Understanding of operational standards, risk management, and project cargo best practices.
