My client is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Operations Manager to lead and support their freight forwarding operations across Air, Sea, and European Road services. This is a hands-on management role, ideal for someone who is equally comfortable overseeing a team and getting involved in the day-to-day operational workload when required.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the operation, maintaining high levels of customer service, and supporting the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the daily operations of Air Freight, Sea Freight, and European Road Freight services.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the operations team while maintaining a hands-on approach.
- Complete and manage import and export customs clearances accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure all shipments are processed in line with customer requirements and compliance regulations.
- Monitor operational performance, identify improvements, and implement best practices.
- Support and develop team members while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
- Liaise with customers, carriers, and suppliers to ensure seamless freight movements.
- Assist with problem-solving and escalation management to deliver effective solutions.
- Proven experience in freight forwarding operations across Air, Sea, and European Road Freight.
