My client, a rapidly growing freight forwarding business with a strong European road freight operation, are looking for an experienced European Road Freight Specialist to join their team and manage full load, part load and groupage movements across Europe.
The Role:
- Manage European road freight shipments from booking through to delivery
- Coordinate groupage, LTL and FTL movements
- Prepare transport documentation including CMRs and customs paperwork
- Liaise with hauliers, agents and clients to ensure smooth end-to-end operations
- Negotiate rates with carriers and provide quotations to customers
- Track and monitor loads, proactively resolving any service issues
- Maintain accurate records within the TMS and ensure compliance with regulations
Requirements:
- Experience in European Road Freight (minimum 1-2 years preferred)
- Strong understanding of European transport regulations and cross-border processes
- Knowledge of customs procedures and Incoterms (advantageous)
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced forwarding environment
- Additional European languages are a bonus but not essential
