The Role
Working within the air freight team, you'll help manage pricing enquiries and ensure customers receive accurate, competitive quotations in a timely manner.
Your responsibilities will include
- Handling day-to-day air freight pricing enquiries and preparing customer quotations.
- Obtaining and negotiating rates with airlines, overseas agents and other suppliers.
- Supporting the wider team with air freight operational and pricing requirements.
- Reviewing rates to ensure quotations remain competitive and commercially viable.
- Building and maintaining relationships with airlines, agents, customers and internal colleagues.
- Ensuring pricing information is accurate and kept up to date.
- Assisting with customer rate cards and tender submissions where required.
- Working closely with the operations and sales teams to support customer requirements and new business opportunities.
- Providing a responsive, reliable service and helping resolve pricing queries efficiently.
About You
We're looking for someone with a solid understanding of air freight who is keen to contribute to a successful team.
Ideally, you'll have
- At least 3 years' experience in air freight, within pricing, operations or a combination of both.
- A good understanding of air freight rates, airline services and international air cargo movements.
- Experience obtaining rates and preparing accurate customer quotations.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
