Are you an experienced forklift operator with a strong focus on safety and efficiency? Our client, a well-established logistics company, is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join their busy operation in Leeds. This full-time, permanent role offers great stability, a supportive team environment, and the chance to develop your career in logistics.
Responsibilities
- Safely operating counterbalance and reach forklifts to load, unload, move, stack, and store goods.
- Handling deliveries – checking quantities and condition, and completing all necessary documentation.
- Supporting the organisation of stock to maximise warehouse space and efficiency.
- Preparing goods for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and timely turnaround.
- Carrying out regular equipment checks and reporting any faults.
- Maintaining a clean, safe working environment in line with company and H&S standards.
- Liaising with drivers and subcontractors, providing clear instructions for loading/unloading.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
- Weekly alternating shifts: 7am-4pm and 9am-6pm (1-hour lunch)
- Overtime available at 1.5x hourly rate
- Occasional Saturday mornings (paid as overtime)

About You
- Valid forklift licence (counterbalance/reach) – essential

- A proactive, flexible approach to teamwork and problem-solving
- A first aid qualification (preferred, not essential)
