Industry - Freight Forwarding

We're recruiting for an experienced Express / Time-Critical Coordinator to join a busy international logistics operation on a permanent night-shift basis in Feltham. This is a hands-on role coordinating express and time-critical shipments from start to finish, working closely with customers, hauliers, warehouses and internal teams to ensure shipments are processed accurately, efficiently and on time.

The Role:

You'll be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of express shipments, ensuring everything runs smoothly from order processing through to delivery and final clearance. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating express and time-critical shipments from start to finish
  • Processing orders and creating shipments using BoxTop
  • Managing import and export customs clearances via CDS
  • Ensuring customs and shipping documentation is completed accurately
  • Working closely with road hauliers, co-loaders and transport providers
  • Liaising with customers to provide updates and resolve operational queries
  • Monitoring shipments and proactively managing any delays or service issues
  • Working with warehouse and operations teams to ensure shipments are processed efficiently
  • Monitoring customer KPIs and maintaining agreed service levels
  • Supporting internal customs audits, assessments and compliance checks
  • Assisting with invoicing and ensuring jobs are accurately recorded
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and reduce operational costs
  • Maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams
  • Supporting business development opportunities within existing accounts

About You:

We're looking for someone with previous experience within express logistics, freight forwarding or time-critical transport operations.

  • Strong working knowledge of import and export customs procedures
  • Experience completing clearances through CDS
  • Experience using BoxTop
  • Experience with AOG Express
  • Knowledge of Sequoia would be advantageous
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Previous experience of working night shift desirable
