We're looking for an experienced EU Road Freight & Customs Coordinator (Imports) to join our growing team in Egham. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a solid background in freight forwarding who thrives on managing customs processes and ensuring smooth cross-border movements. What You'll Be Doing
- Managing the end-to-end process for EU road freight import shipments
- Taking ownership of customs entries and clearances, ensuring full HMRC compliance
- Preparing and checking all import documentation, including commodity codes, tariffs, and EORI details
- Liaising daily with hauliers, carriers, and customs authorities to ensure efficient movement of goods
- Providing accurate quotes, bookings, and shipment tracking updates
- Monitoring shipments through to POD, keeping clients informed at every stage
- Proactively resolving customs or transport issues to minimise delays
- Delivering exceptional customer service and building strong client relationships
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in EU road freight forwarding, ideally import-focused
- Strong working knowledge of UK import customs procedures and documentation
- Experience using customs clearance systems (e.g. CDS, Destin8, or similar)
- Up-to-date understanding of post-Brexit regulations and international trade requirements
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator with a proactive, professional approach
