European Road Freight Forwarder
Warrington | £35,000 to £38,000 | Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
An established international logistics provider is looking for an experienced Freight Forwarder to join its Warrington road-freight team.
This is an opportunity to join a stable, well-supported operation with a strong European network and a varied customer base. You will manage shipments from start to finish, giving you genuine ownership rather than handling only one part of the forwarding process.
The role
- Manage domestic, import, export and European cross-trade shipments
- Coordinate day-to-day road-freight operations
- Arrange UK import customs clearances and export documentation
- Prepare competitive pricing for customers
- Provide a responsive, professional service to clients
- Liaise with customers, suppliers and overseas partners
- Manage activity through customer and supplier portals
- Handle shipments involving ADR goods
What we are looking for
- A minimum of five years' European road-freight experience
- Previous experience in a freight-forwarding environment
- Knowledge of UK and EU customs procedures
- Experience managing European cross-trade movements
- Familiarity with ADR shipments
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A self-motivated and organised approach
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
