About the Role

As the company enters an exciting phase of growth through 2025 and beyond, they are now seeking a Freight Coordinator to join their close-knit operations team in Chandlers Ford.
The Role:
In this role, you will manage end-to-end freight movements across multiple transport modes, acting as the central point of coordination between customers, carriers, and internal teams. You'll ensure shipments move efficiently, compliantly, and on time - delivering a high-quality service across European and UK networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-modal freight operations including road, air, and sea for import and export consignments.
- Manage European road freight movements and time-critical courier shipments.
- Oversee shipments from booking through to final delivery, ensuring full operational visibility.
- Provide outstanding customer service, maintaining clear and proactive communication throughout the shipment lifecycle.
- Prepare and issue freight quotations, rates, and service options.
- Produce and manage shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and Letters of Credit where required.
- Complete customs documentation and ensure compliance with import/export procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Experience within the UK freight, transport, or logistics sector (road freight, courier, or multi-modal experience preferred).
- A strong understanding of operational freight processes and documentation.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines.
- Confident communicator with a customer-focused mindset.
- Experience with hazardous or dangerous goods is advantageous but not essential - full training will be provided.
