Air Export Operator in Eastleigh

Position: Air Export Operator Location: Eastleigh Hours: Hybrid Working | Monday to Friday 8:30am - 17:00pm Salary: Up to £36,000 The Opportunity We're exclusively representing a highly established and respected specialist logistics business in Eastleigh, Southampton, who are looking to strengthen their experienced operations team with the appointment of an Air Export Operator. The Role As an Air Export Operator, you'll take ownership of shipments from initial booking through to final delivery, ensuring everything runs smoothly and customers receive an exceptional level of service. Your responsibilities will include: Managing the end-to-end process for air export shipments Arranging bookings with airlines, agents and freight partners Preparing and checking export documentation Coordinating collections, deliveries and onward transportation Liaising with customers, airlines, overseas agents and other stakeholders Tracking shipments and proactively managing any delays or issues Preparing Air Waybills and relevant shipping documentation Coordinating export customs clearance and ensuring compliance Maintaining accurate shipment records and updating internal systems Providing customers with regular updates throughout the shipment process Working closely with colleagues across the wider operations team to ensure a seamless service About You We're looking for an experienced Air Export Operator who understands the importance of accuracy, communication and customer service. You'll ideally have: Previous experience within air freight/export operations Strong knowledge of the air export process from booking through to delivery Experience with export documentation and customs procedures Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Strong customer service and communication abilities The ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously A proactive approach to problem-solving The ability to work effectively within an established teamWR Logistics are a leading recruitment partner for the logistics and supply chain industry, recruiting across the UK, Europe, and the USA for permanent opportunities.
