We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and reputable freight forwarding business for an experienced Air Freight Specialist to join their Bradford-based operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled air freight professional to take ownership of shipments end-to-end within a supportive and well-structured environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing air freight import and/or export shipments from start to finish, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and high levels of customer service. Key responsibilities include:
- Handling air freight shipments (import/export) end-to-end
- Providing quotations to clients
- Arranging collections and deliveries with agents and carriers
- Preparing and processing all relevant shipping documentation
- Managing import/export customs clearance procedures
- Costing shipments and raising invoices
- Maintaining accurate operational records
Requirements:
- Minimum 6+ years' experience with a UK-based freight forwarder
- Strong knowledge of air freight import and/or export operations
- Experience with customs procedures
- Familiarity with CargoWise is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple shipments independently
